Personal

Leadership        Pictorial Tour

I was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I attended Udayan School (1996) and then Dhaka College (1998) for secondary and higher secondary education.

I am an inordinate fan of classical and new age music. I like tuning into sky.fm and pandora.

My mother has been the major source of inspiration in my life.  If I can fly higher than an eagle, its because she is the wind beneath my wings. Here is a eulogy that I have written cherishing my long lasting memories with her. A Bangla translation is also available (here the short version published in prothom-alo). I miss her a lot.

Here is an essay that I had written on my mother when I was in class 5. Its written in Bangla.

I have always been enthusiastic about sports. I have the record of being grounded in numerous occasions for arriving late at home from the school playground even till I was in the 10th grade.  I enjoy playing cricket, soccer, table tennis (I logged more hours playing table tennis in Dhaka College than physically attending classes), tennis, and bowling (highest score 206). I also enjoy Yoga and occasional work out in the gym.

I sporadically go out on camping, fishing, hiking and traveling. Once camping at the Oil Creek State Park in Pennsylvania, our tent was invaded by a wild bear at night. Ask me for the details! Recently, I have started enjoying taking pictures. I look forward to setting up my photography portfolio sometime soon.

I also like creative video editing. I was able to collect 8 hours of footage during my wedding and made an one hour story-telling documentary out of it. I may consider giving you access to some parts of it, if you personally write to me.
